ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe women's basketball team played Missouri Baptist in a close game, dropping the contest 73-67.
A breakdown of the score by the quarters is as follows: 18-12 in favor of Missouri Baptist in the first, the Hornets dominated the second 24-15. In the third, MBU narrowly outscored HSSU 19-17. In the final period, the Hornets were outpaced, 31-14.
Deyana Dodd tallied 15-points, four rebounds, four steals and two steals to pace Harris-Stowe.
Kya Gordon scored 11-points, three rebounds, two steals and one block.
Taia Smith landed nine rebounds.
The Hornets will travel to Fulton, Mo., to face William Woods University of Thursday, February 3
rd at 5:30 pm. On Saturday, February 5
th, Harris-Stowe women's basketball team will host Stephens College at 1:00 pm.
