ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe women's basketball team played a balanced contest against the Stars of Stephens College. The first and fourth quarters made all the difference in Harris-Stowe's 70-60 victory.
A breakdown of the score by the quarters is as follows: 19-13 in favor of HSSU in the first, both teams scored 16-16 in the second and 19-19 in the third. In the final quarter, the Hornets outpaced the Stars, 16-12.
Surina Finnie tallied 21-points, five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist to pace Harris-Stowe.
Toree Jackson scored 12-points, seven rebounds, four steals and one assist.
Autumn Brown landed 10-points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
The Hornets will travel to Fulton, Mo., to face William Woods University of Sunday, February 5
th at 2:00 pm.
