ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe Hornets traveled to Creve Coure, Mo. To face the Spartans of Missouri Baptist. The contest was close, yet HSSU fell 87-68.
In the opening half, HSSU scored 26 points, while the Spartans scored 52. In the second half, the Hornets was outpaced Missouri Baptist 42-35.
Patrick Evans tallied 14-points, five rebounds and two steals to pace the Hornets' offense.
Riley Barnes recorded 10-points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Justin Edwards and
Sion Lightfoot each knocked down eight-points. Edwards also added three rebounds and two steals, while Lightfoot pulled down two rebounds.
Breon Mosby performed well with seven-points, seven rebounds and one steal.
Harris-Stowe will travel to Fulton, Mo., to face William Woods on Thursday, February 3
rd at 7:30 pm.
