ST. LOUIS – Harris-Stowe State University women's basketball faced a difficult schedule during the HBCU Dallas Invitational in Talladega College and Langston University. The contest against Talladega ended with the Tornadoes taking the victory by three-points, 47-44. In their final contest of the weekend, the Hornets faced the Lions of Langston, dropping the contest 85-52.

Both games allowed Harris-Stowe to flex their muscles and gain more cohesiveness as a unit. In game one, Destiney Amaefula paced the team with 21-points, four rebounds and one assist. Kya Gordon scored seven-points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
