ST. LOUIS – It was a close contest between the Hornets and Scots on Friday afternoon; however, Lyon was able to pull ahead to secure the win 76-65.
Harris-Stowe opened the contest with a commanding lead in the first few minutes. In a furious back-and-forth, Lyon was able to enter the break with a slight 40-33 advantage. The second half, the Scots maintained their lead, taking the half, 36-32.
Elmelik Martin, Jr., scored 19-points, six assists, three steals and one rebound.
Malik Greer scored 14-points, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Jamarr Joseph tallied 10-points, three rebounds and one assist.
Riley Barnes put up nine-points, three-points, three assists and one block.
Harris-Stowe will host the Central Baptist College Mustangs on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 3:00 pm. The seniors of the program will be honored prior to tipoff.
