ST. LOUIS – During the 2021 season, the Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer team refused to back down from a single team and their record reflected their determination.
Last season, only one team could say they handed the Hornets a loss and that was Columbia College. In the 2022 Preseason Coaches Poll, the head coaches believe there will be a repeat.
Columbia was picked to finish first with seven first place votes, Harris-Stowe was picked to finish second with one first place vote and William Woods rounded out the top three. William Woods also received one first place vote.
In their first meeting, CC took the contest 3-2 in overtime and 1-0 in the championship.
