ST. LOUIS – On Tuesday afternoon, the Harris-Stowe men's soccer team hosted the Valor of Evangel University at Hornet's Field. The Hornets dropped the contest, 2-1.
The Valor's Lucas Arias scored in the 38th minute of the opening half. Existing the half, Dean McConnell landed an on target shot to lift Evangel up 2-0.
Juan Moren nailed a beautiful goal to put the Hornets on the board. Despite applying pressure and firing off shots, Harris-Stowe was unable to score again.
HSSU tallied 15 shots, with seven being on goal. Hornet's goalkeeper, Jelle Dik recorded five saves.
Harris-Stowe travels to Elsah, Illinois, to face Principia College on Saturday, September 10th at 7:00 pm.
