Harris-Stowe Blows Away Rust College Bearcats by Six Runs

ST. LOUIS- Harris-Stowe State University baseball coasted to an easy victory over Rust College Bearcats, 8-2.

The Hornets fired up their offense in the second inning when Devin Rader drove in two on a homerun. Harris-Stowe notched four runs in the sixth inning, when Hunter Miller, Davie Pound, and Alek Sierra, each recorded RBIs in the inning.

Armando Sierra led things off on the pitcher's mound for HSSU. The righthander surrendered two runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Brytan Sampson toed the rubber for the Bearcats. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out one. Christian Hill, Matthew Davis, and Joseph Thomas each contributed in relief for Rust College.

The Hornets launched two home runs on the day. Rader's in the second inning and Julian Cintel put one out in the third.

HSSU racked up nine hits. Zach Lopez each had two hits to lead Harris-Stowe.
