ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's volleyball fell in three sets (9-25,7-25,15-25) to (RV)Columbia College on Tuesday night at Emerson Performance Center. With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 4-18 on the season and 0-7 in Amercian Midwest Conference play while the Cougars improve to 18-9 and 7-0 in AMC play.
In the first set, Columbia would race out to an 11-6 lead. A 9-0 run by Columbia would push the lead to 20-6 before the Cougars would close out set one 25-9. In set two, the Cougars would hold a 12-2 lead before closing the set 25-7.
In set three, the Lady Hornets held a 4-3 and 5-4 lead before the Cougars would take an 11-6 lead. The Cougars would not trail in set three after taking the 11-6 lead. The Lady Hornets would get as close as 22-15, before the Cougars closed out the set and the match with a 3-0 run.

Trinity Edison (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Central) would record a team-high five kills in the match. Senior middle hitter
Jayden Sortor (Sherman, Ill./Parkland College) and sophomore defensive specialist
Dejah Foster (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) would each record three digs. Sophomore setter
Isa Smith (Little Rock, Ark./Joe T. Robinson) would record seven assist. Freshman middle hitter
Jehireh Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Althoff Catholic) would record three blocks in the match.
The Lady Hornets are back in action on Thursday, October 24th at 6 pm as they host Stephens College at the Emerson Performance Center.
