ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's soccer fell 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to Williams Baptist College on senior day. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 5-6-5 on the season and 3-3-1 in American Midwest Conference play while the Eagles improve to 8-3-4 on the season and 4-2 in AMC play.
Junior midfielder
Matteo Rissato Prado (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Carl Sandburg College) would have a chance to put the Hornets up early, but was turned away. Williams Baptist would score in the 17th minute to go ahead 1-0. Junior midfielder
Leonardo Mori (Castel d'Azzano/Liceo Galileo Galilei) would be denied in the 39th minute. The Hornets would go into the half down 1-0.
The Eagles would take a 2-0 lead in the 62nd minute. Senior forward
Janik Buch (Suederbrarup, Germany) would have a chance to cut the lead in half in the 82nd minute and would be denied after a sprawling save. The Eagles would tack on another goal in the 83rd minute to go up 3-0. Junior goalkeeper
Michael Brennan (Manchester, England/Neosho County Community College) would make four saves in net.
The Eagles would hold 18-8 advantage in shots, 8-3 in shots on goal and 9-3 in corner kicks.
