PARAGOULD, Ark. - Harris-Stowe State University men's basketball fell 92-79 on the road at Crowley's Ridge College on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 4-5 on the season and 1-1 in American Midwest Conference play while the Pioneers improve to 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in AMC play.

Seth Chargois (Tulsa, Okla./Johnson Community College) would tie the game at two early in the first half. Chargois would stop the Pioneers 6-0 run with a layup to cut the lead to 8-4 Pioneers. Chargois would end another 6-0 Pioneers run with a layup to cut the lead to 14-6. A layup from junior forward
Jalen Watson (East St. Louis, Ill./St. Louis Community College) would cut the lead to 14-8. A 9-5 by the Pioneers would extend their lead to 23-13. A jumper from senior forward
Keondre Brown (Los Angeles, Calif./Grandview University) would cut the deficit to 23-15. A three from senior guard
Bennie Amos III (New Orleans, La./Delgado Community College) would cut the Pioneers lead to 28-22. A dunk from Chargois would cut the lead to 28-24. A three from senior forward
Jermarco Burse (Annapolis, Mo./Truman State University), a layup and a jumper from Amos III would cut the Pioneers lead to 34-31. A jumper and a layup from Watson would give the Hornets a 41-39 lead going into halftime.
An 8-0 run by the Pioneers would turn a two point deficit into a six point lead at 47-41. A jumper from Watson cut the lead to 47-43. A 9-2 run by the Pioneers pushed the lead to 56-45 before a three from Chargois made it a 56-48 lead for the Pioneers. Two free throws from Watson cut the Pioneers lead to 62-52. A three Chargois and two free throws from Amos III cut the Pioneers lead to 66-60. A jumper from Amos III would cut the Pioneers lead to 72-67 before closing out the game on a 20-12 run.
Chargois would lead the way with 26 points, while Amos III added 19 and Watson added 16. Junior forward
Ty Lampley (Belleville, Ill./Rend Lake Community College) would record five rebounds. Junior guard
Brandon Vigne (New Orleans, La./Delgado Community College) would record six assists. Brown recorded three blocks and Chargois had six steals.
The Hornets went 29-63 (46.0%) from the field, 6-19 (31.6%) from three and 15-20 (75.0%) from the free throw line.
The Hornets return to action on Monday, December 2nd at 7 pm in Little Rock, Ark. against Philander Smith.
