ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's soccer finishes in a 2-2 draw Saturday afternoon against Culver-Stockton College at Cardinal Ritter. Both the Hornets and Wildcats are 0-1-2 on the season after today's draw.
The Hornets would strike first when junior forward
Max Kannegieser (Bad Ems, Germany/Goethe-Gymnasium Bad Ems) would take a pass from sophomore midfielder
Djordje Stankovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Bethel University) to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. Just over a minute later the Hornets would double the lead when junior forward
Kyle Nicholls (Norwich, England/Mineral Area College) would score off the pass from junior midfielder
Matteo Rissato Prado (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Carl Sandburg College).
The Hornets would take the lead into the half before Culver-Stockton would come back to tie the game late.Â
Junior goalkeeper
Michael Brennan (Manchester, England/Neosho County Community College) would make five saves for the Hornets. The Wildcats would hold an 18-12 advantage in shots and 7-4 in shots on goal as well as 4-0 in corner kicks.
The Hornets are back in action on Wednesday, September 4th against Central Methodist University at 4 pm at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex.
