CREVE COEUR, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's soccer fell to William Woods by a score of 1-0 on Saturday night at Creve Coeur Soccer Complex. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 2-4-4 and 0-1 in American Midwest Conference play while the Owls improve to 5-2-2 and 1-0 in AMC play.
The Hornets would come out quick with three shots in the first 17 minutes. After 45 minutes of play the Owls and Hornets would be tied at 0-0. The Owls would take a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute on a shot from just outside the 18 yard box.
The Hornets would create multiple chances off of set pieces to tie the game, but the Owls keeper made the saves in the clutch. Junior goalkeeper

Callahan Riley (Liverpool, England/Union College) and sophomore defender
Leonardo El Ayache (Naples, Italy/University of Northwestern Ohio) all recorded two shots.
The Owls would hold 12-10 advantage in shots, 5-4 shots on goal, and 4-3 in corner kicks.
The Hornets return to action next Saturday, October 5th at 3 pm against #15 Columbia College. Location is to be determined.
