ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's basketball falls 106-54 to #3 Freed-Hardeman University on Thursday night at Emerson Performance Center. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 1-7 on the season while the Lions improve to 12-1.

Shamar Carter (Inglewood, Calif./Moberly CC) cut the deficit to 9-4. A layup and free throw form sophomore guard
Umar Lawson (Sumter, S.C./Voorhees University) cut the deficit to 18-9. A layup from senior center
Dimitrije Stojanovic (Nis, Serbia/Bethel University) cut the Lions lead to 18-11. The Lions would use a 17-0 run to push their lead to 35-11. Back-to-back layups by freshman guard
Christian Dake (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway North) cut the deficit to 35-15. A jumper by senior forward
Ty Lampley (Belleville, Ill./Rend Lake Community College) cut the deficit to 39-19. The Lions would close the first half on a 12-2 run to take a 51-21 lead at the half.

Antonio Trotter (Nashville, Tenn./Williams Baptist University) cut the deficit to 51-25. A three by freshman forward
Nashawn Davis (St. Louis, Mo./Columbia College) cut the deficit to 64-30. A three by Dake cut the Lions lead to 75-34. A layup by senior forward
Jalen Watson (East St. Louis, Ill./St. Louis Community College) cut the deficit to 87-39. A layup by Watson cut the deficit to 89-45. A layup by senior center
Greg Wilson (Kansas City, Kan./Voorhees University) cut the deficit to 98-49. A layup by Dake and a three by sophomore guard
Jason Freeman (Atlanta, Ga./William Woods University) cut the deficit to 104-54 before the Lions won 106-54.
Dake led the way with nine points. Carter recorded five rebounds in the game. Trotter would dish out three assists. Lampley would record three blocks. Lampley and Stojanovic would each record a steal.
The Hornets went 18-37 (48.6%) from the field, 4-12 (33.3%) from three and 14-22 (63.6%) from the free throw line.
The Hornets return to action on Monday, December 8th as they open American Midwest Conference play against Hannibal-LaGrange at Emerson Performance Center with tip off set for 7:30 pm.
