ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's basketball picks up a 101-67 win on Senior day against the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy at Emerson Performance Center. With the win, the Hornets improve to 8-18 on the season and 5-13 in American Midwest Conference play while the Eutectics finish the season 8-19 and 2-16 in AMC play.
The Hornets swept the regular-season series against the Eutectics this season. The Hornets have won five in a row in the series against the Eutectics.

Ty Lampley (Belleville, Ill./Rend Lake Community College) extended the lead to 8-3. A layup and free throw from senior forward
Jermarco Burse (Annapolis, Mo./Truman State University) pushed the lead to 12-3.

Koran Johnson (St. Louis, Mo.) and a layup by Jones pushed the lead to 27-17. A three from Burse pushed the lead to 30-21. A three from Amos III pushed the lead to 33-23. Two free throws from Chargois made it 35-28 Hornets. Two free throws from Brown pushed the lead to 37-30. A layup by Burse gave the Hornets a 39-32 lead before the Eutectics cut the Hornets lead to 39-34 going into the half.
A layup and a dunk by Chargois pushed the lead to 43-34. A Burse jumper and a three from Amos III pushed the lead to 48-36. After the Eutectics cut the Hornets lead to 48-38 the Hornets would open the lead. Two free throws from Amos III, a layup from Chargois, a three and four free throws from Amos III, a layup from Burse, a dunk from Chargois would push the Hornets lead to 61-38. The 13-0 run by the Hornets took two minutes and 26 seconds.
A layup from Lampley, a three and two free throws from Burse extended the Hornets lead to 70-40. A three from Chargois pushed the lead to 73-47. A layup from Amos III and a three from Burse pushed the lead to 31 at 78-47 Hornets. A layup from Johnson made it 80-49. A dunk from Chargois and a layup from Burse pushed the lead to 84-49. The next eight points for the Hornets were scored by Brown to help push the lead to 90-54. Two free throws from Amos III gave the Hornets their largest lead at 94-56. Two free throws from Jones pushed the Hornets lead to 98-64. A layup by Jones pushed the Hornets over the century mark at 101 as the Hornets picked up the 101-67 win.Â
Amos III went for a game-high 23 points while Chargois added 22 points, Burse added a season-high 22 points and Brown added 14. Lampley recorded 11 rebounds. Chargois had six assists in the game. Chargois had six steals in the game.
Before the game, four seniors were honored. The four seniors were Amos III, Brown, Burse and Chargois.
The Hornets went 38-69 (55.1%) from the field, 8-24 (33.3%) from three and 17-23 (73.9%) from the free throw line.
The 38 made field goals were the most in a game this season for the Hornets. The 55.1% from the field was the best shooting percentage in a game this year for the Hornets. The 62 second half points for the Hornets was the second highest in a half this season with the most points in a half being 63 points in the second half against Fontbonne on 11/11/24.
The Hornets return to action in the AMC Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday, February 27th at 7pm as the Hornets face the top-seeded William Woods in Fulton, Mo.
