ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University softball fell 17-2 in game one and 26-1 in game two on Wednesday afternoon against the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy at Affton Athletic Association. With the losses, the Lady Hornets fall to 1-11 on the season and 0-2 in American Midwest Conference play while the Eutectics improve to 6-4 on the season and 2-0 in AMC play.
In game one, senior infielder
Christal Smith (Jacksonville, Fla./Terry Parker) was hit by pitch to lead off the game. Senior outfielder
Naliya Anderson (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) would advance Smith to second after reaching on an error by the leftfielder. Freshman catcher
Jaden Crenshaw (Killeen, Texas/Robert M. Shoemaker) would single home Smith to make it 1-0 Lady Hornets in the top of the first. An infield single by freshman catcher
Brianna Huff (Columbus, Ohio/Private Tree of Life Christian College Prep) would load the bases. Anderson would score on a passed ball to make it 2-0.
The Eutectics would score 15 in the first and add two more in the fourth. Smith, Crenshaw, Anderson, Huff and senior outfielder
Lyric McGilberry (Orlando, Fla./St. Charles Community College) would all record a hit while Crenshaw had a run batted in.
In game two, junior outfielder
Juanesha Washington (St. Louis, Mo./Carnahan) would single with one out and then steal second. Washington would score on an error by the second baseman to make it 1-0 Lady Hornets in the top of the first. The Eutectics scored 19 in the first, three in the second and four in the third.

Nichelle Davis (St. Louis, Mo./Jennings) would record one hit each.
The Lady Hornets return to action on Sunday, March 16th at 1 and 3 pm for their home opener at Stars Park against LeMoyne-Owen.
