CONWAY, Ark. - Harris-Stowe State University baseball fell 8-2 in game one and 10-3 in game two on Friday evening at Central Baptist College. With the loss, the Hornets are 3-24 on the season and 1-18 in American Midwest Conference play while the Mustangs are 28-19 on the season and 13-7 in AMC play.

Game 1:
The Mustangs would score twice in the first and add three more runs in the third to hold a 5-0 lead after three innings of play.

Junior left fielder Alexander Fernandez (Caracas, Venezuela) would lead off the Hornets fourth with a single to left. Junior third baseman Andrew Kobe (St. Louis, Mo.) would get the Hornets on the board with a two-run home run to left field to cut the deficit to 5-2. The Mustangs would score twice in the fourth and once in the sixth to take an 8-2 lead.

Kobe, Fernandez, catcher Jacob Frankera and right fielder Tashaun Coleman (Indianapolis, Ind.) all recorded a hit. Kobe had two runs batted in.

Game 2:
Fernandez started the game reaching on a throwing error by the shortstop. Fernandez would advance to second on a sacrifice bunt. Junior first baseman Brayden Hatley (St. Louis, Mo.) singled to left to score Fernandez to make it 1-0 Hornets.

The Mustangs would score four runs in the bottom of the first to take a 4-1 lead after one inning of play.Â

Kobe would double with one out in the third. Coleman would reach on a single and advance Kobe to third. Hatley grounded out to short to score Kobe to cut the deficit to 4-2. The Mustangs would score one run in the third and two in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead.

Coleman started the Hornets sixth by reaching on an error. Hatley would be hit by a pitch. Coleman and Hatley moved up a base on a wild pitch. Coleman would score on a dropped third strike to cut the deficit to 7-3. The Mustangs scored two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to take a 10-3 lead.

Kobe, Coleman, Hatley, outfielder Hayden Waters and second baseman Jordan Bradley (St. Louis, Mo.) all recorded one hit. Hatley recorded two runs batted in.
