ST. LOUIS - At this time the Department of Athletics would like to announce that we are accepting nominations for the President of the Association of Student Athletes. 

The ASA Objectives are:

• To serve as the voice of all student-athletes in Harris-Stowe's governance.
• Provide a platform for student-athletes to discuss issues of concern, offer feedback to membership, and propose legislation or policy changes, as appropriate.
• Offer its members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as they represent and empower all student-athletes.

The President serves as a secondary Advisor of the organization; assisting with planning training sessions and serving as the liaison between the organization and the university. The President is also responsible for overseeing collaboration with campus clubs and the Collaboration Fund. Other duties of the President include overseeing and coordinating the Selection Process, the Shadowing Period, awards, attending weekly Executive Board meetings, composing and distributing executive and general meeting agendas, composing and distributing meeting schedules for semester to members, developing and distributing event schedules for semester.
