ST. LOUIS – Harris-Stowe softball fell 10-2, in both their contests versus Knox College on Tuesday afternoon.
Game One
HSSU started scoring in the bottom of the first when Cindy Sanchez singled to score Morgan Nettles. The second was scoreless for both teams. In the top of the third, KC scored three runs followed by the Hornets one in the bottom of the inning. Sanchez singled again to score Zaria Palmer. The Prairie Fire went on to score twice in the fourth and fifth and three in the sixth.
Harris-Stowe concluded the contest with two runs on five hits and two errors.
Ramaya Atuatasi recorded the loss for the Hornets in the pitcher's circle.
Game Two
The first was scoreless for both teams before Knox scored six runs in the top of the second. The third went scoreless for both, however, the Prairie Fire were able to score once in the fourth. HSSU scored their two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Maya Rogers singled to scored Ciara Clark-Payton followed by Nettles singling to scored CrisTal Smith.
With three runs scored by Knox College in the top of the seventh, scoring concluded.
Atuatasi took the loss for the Hornets.
