ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's track and field teams competed at the WashU Invite hosted by Washington University on Friday and Saturday.

 

Freshman sprinter Tijaria Anthony recorded a personal best time of 27.29 in the 200-meters. Anthony also recorded a leap of 4.80 meters (15-9) in the long jump.

 

Freshman thrower Shyla Reid recorded a throw of 32.78 meters (107-6) in the hammer throw. A throw of 32.09 meters (105-3) in the discus. A throw of 25.33 meters (83-1) in the javelin and a throw of 10.65 meters (34-11.25) in the shot put.

 

Freshman sprinter Sherasade Meghezi (Paris, France) recorded a personal best time of 29.86 in the 200. Meghezi also recorded a time of 14.12 in the 100 and a leap of 4.07 meters (13-4.25) in the long jump.

 

Freshman thrower Syain Washington recorded a personal best throw of 26.57 meters (87-2) in the hammer throw. Washington also recorded a personal best in the discus with a throw of 16.20 meters (53-1).

 

Sophomore sprinter Emma Auer (Kindberg, Austria/HIB Liebenau) recorded a personal best in the 400-meters with a time of 1:08.08. Auer recorded a personal best time of 29.97 in the 200-meters. Auer recorded a jump of 3.63 meters (11-11) in the long jump.

 

Senior sprinter J'Lessa Jordan (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) recorded a time of 13.94 in the 100-meters and a time of 30.11 in the 200-meters.

 

Freshman sprinter Nyla Richardson-Myles recorded a time of 19.17 in the 100-meter hurdles and a time of 1:19.31 in the 400-meter hurdles.

 

Senior thrower Ramaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover High School) recorded a throw of 34.91 meters (114-6) in the hammer throw and a throw of 22.30 meters (73-2) in the discus.

 

Freshman mid-distance Amyla Meriweather recorded a time of 3:04.33 in the 800-meters.

 

The team of Anthony, Jordan. Richardson-Myles and Meghezi recorded a time of 52.92 in the 4x100 meter relay.

 

The Lady Hornets return to action next weekend at the Joey Haines Invite hosted by SEMO.
