Spring 2022 All-Conference and Season Awards Announced

ST. LOUIS – The Spring All-Conference and Academic All-Conference teams have been announced and the Hornets are heavily represented. The spring sports include baseball and softball.

For softball, Zaria Palmer claimed a second team slot, while Caitlyn Chandler was named to the Champions of Character for Harris-Stowe State University.
The Hornets flooded the Academic All-Conference team. Selected to the team were: Madlen Bodewig, Yasmina Dressen, Whittney Jackson, Alica Lovan, Rachael Manley, Ondrea Montgomery, Lisa Peitz, Annesta Richards, Isabella Romualdo, Chris'Tal Smith, Sarah Talbott, Andrea Tatman, Kyanae Toombs, Mara Waltrich, Brandi Bradford, Ciara Clark-Payton, Zaria Palmer and Caitlyn Chandler.

Let's take a closer look at the All-Conference baseball selections. On the second team, Turner McDonald was selected as a first basemen and Maurice Lafon also made the second team as an outfielder. For his character and overall passion, Quintaryis Boures was selected as the HSSU representative for the Champions of Character team.

Despite the accomplishments on the field of play, the classroom is the most important place for a student-athlete. With 19 baseball athletes named to the Academic All-Conference team, it is safe to say, the Hornets understood their assignment.Hunter Miller, Jordan Palacios, Jackson Bartholomew, Xavier Fuller, Cameron Fuller, William Menendez, Austin Palacios, Austin Toler, Quintaryis Bournes, Maurice LaFon, Marcel Lopez, Turner McDonald, Hunter Perdue, Tomas Pinet, Jr., David Pound, Alek Sierra, Alexander Williams, Preston Burnett and Bay To.
