Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University baseball played two games against Columbia College on Saturday afternoon at Battle High School. The Hornets were listed as the home team for both games as they fell 24-1 in eight innings in game one and 16-2 in eight innings in game two. With the losses the Hornets fall to 1-11 and 0-2 in American Midwest Conference play while Columbia improves to 18-10 and 2-0 in AMC play.
Columbia jumped out 3-0 in game one before junior third baseman
Tyson Dent (Memphis, Tenn.) cut the lead to 3-1 with a solo homerun to center in the bottom of the first. Dent along with sophomore infielder
Cam Pratt (Anderson, Ind.) had the lone hits in game one for the Hornets as Columbia piled on six runs in the second, four in the fourth and seventh, and seven runs in the sixth. Columbia recorded nine extra base hits in game one while recording 25 for the game.
In game two, Columbia's bat stayed hot as they scored two in the top of the second. After a leadoff single from junior outfielder

Hunter Miller (Chesterfield, Mo./Upper Iowa University) would tie the game at two as he drilled a homerun to rightfield.
Columbia would add three runs in the third, five in the fourth and sixth, and score their final run in the seventh inning.
The Hornets return to action tomorrow against Columbia College as the two teams will conclude their series with first pitch scheduled for 2 PM at Carshield Field in O'Fallon, Mo.
