Box Score O'FALLON, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University baseball concluded their weekend series against Columbia College on Sunday afternoon at Carshield Field. The Hornets fell in the series finale 19-2 against Columbia. The Hornets fall to 1-12 and 0-3 in American Midwest Conference play while Columbia improves to 19-10 and 3-0 in AMC play.
Columbia jumped on the Hornets with a nine run top of the second with four of the runs being scored off of homeruns. Sophomore infielder Cameron Pratt (Anderson, Ind.) would get the Hornets on the board in the bottom of the fourth with a solo homerun to left centerfield. Junior outfielder
Dwayne Daggs (St. Louis, Mo.) would drive in a run in the bottom of the fifth with a RBI single to left that would score freshman second baseman
Jordan Bradley (St. Louis, Mo.) after Bradley would reach on a two out walk.
Columbia would tack on two in runs in third, three in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
The Hornets return to action on Friday, March 22nd against Missouri Baptist University in a doubleheader at Hornets Field with game one set to start at noon.
