Box Score 2 MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Harris-Stowe State University baseball fell to Florida Memorial University in both games of the doubleheader on Friday by the final score of 8-3 in game one and 12-1 in game two with game two being seven innings. With the losses the Hornets fall to 1-5 on the season while the Lions improve to 9-5.
During game one the Hornets fell behind 3-0 after three innings and the score would remain the same until the top of the fifth when junior outfielder
Dwayne Daggs (St. Louis, Mo.) walked with one out, junior shortstop
Austin Martin (Roxana, Ill.) would single to right field as Daggs moved to second. Junior third baseman
Tyson Dent (Memphis, Tenn.) would get the Hornets on the board with a single to left that scored Daggs. Senior infielder
Julian Cintel (St. Louis, Mo.) would tie the game at three a piece with a two out two run double down the left field line. The Lions would reclaim the lead in the bottom of the fifth with two runs as Raymond Rivera would deliver a two run double into the right centerfield gap. The Lions would add on two more runs in the sixth and one in the eighth. Sophomore pitcher
Dakota Gaines (Jay, Okla.) would get the loss after tossing six innings while sophomore pitcher Robert Watson Jr. (St. Louis, Mo.) would pitch the last two innings of game one.
In game two the Lions bats were hot as they scored 12 runs in the first three innings en route to a 12-1 win over the Hornets. Freshman
Carter Henderson (San Diego, Calif.) reached on an error in the top of the fifth which scored Cintel for the lone run of the game for the Hornets. The three pitchers in game two were freshman Levi LaLonde (Lonedell, Mo.), sophomore

Benjamin Derry (Kansas City, Mo./Oak Park). William Hiciano tossed all seven innings in game two for the Lions.
