Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's track and field team competed at the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks Invite on Saturday afternoon.
Junior sprinter and jumper
Alicia Robinson (Grand Rapids, Mich.)Â finished second in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.47 seconds. Robinson finished third in the 200-meter dash in 27.08 seconds and 11th in the long jump with a leap of 5.06 meters (16-7.25). Senior sprinter
Shamari Long (Chicago, Ill.) finished fifth in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.79 seconds and eighth in the 200-meter dash in 29.71 seconds.
Junior sprinter
Dierra Williams finished fourth in the 400-meter dash in 1:23.73 and fourth in the 800 in a time of 3:40.55. Senior thrower
Damajee Brown finished sixth in the weight throw with a personal best throw of 11.76 meters (38-7).
Junior thrower Remaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) finished eighth in the weight throw with a throw of 10.19 meters (33-5.25). Freshman thrower
Saniya Thomas finished ninth in the shot put with a throw of 8.71 meters (28-7) and ninth in the weight throw with a throw of 9.65 meters (31-8).
The Lady Hornets return to action on Saturday, January 18th at the Eastern Illinois meet in Charleston, Illinois beginning at 10 am.
