CHARLESTON, Ill.- Harris-Stowe State University women's track and field team competed at the John Craft Invite hosted by Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
Junior sprinter
Alicia Robinson (Grand Rapids, Mich.) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash in 8.06 seconds after finishing fifth in the preliminary round in 8.02 seconds. Robinson was also fourth in the 200-meter dash in 26.93 seconds and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.00 meters (16-5).
Senior thrower
Damajee Brown was 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 11.11 meters (36-5.5). Junior thrower Remaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) finished 16th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.86 meters (32-4.25). Freshman thrower
Saniya Thomas finished 13th in the shot put with a throw of 7.77 meters (25-6) and 17th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.24 meters (30-3.75).
Senior sprinter
Shamari Long (Chicago, Ill.) finished 14th in the 60-meter dash in 8.44 seconds. Junior sprinter
Dierra Williams was sixth in the 600 meter in 2:24.46.
The Lady Hornets are back in action next Saturday, January 25th at the NAIA/JUCO Challenge hosted by Pitt State University in Pittsburg, Kan.Â
