ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference released the player of the week awards on Monday afternoon. Senior guard Bennie Amos III (New Orleans, La./Delgado Community College) was named the AMC Offensive Player of the week for the week of February 24th.

Amos III recorded 28 points last Thursday, Febraury 20th against Mission and 23 points on Saturday, February 22nd. For the week, Amos III averaged 25.5 points per game, went 18-35 (51.4%) from the field, 9-21 (43.0%) from three and 6-7 (86.0%) from the free throw line. Amos III also added 10 rebounds, four assists and a steal.

The Hornets will return to action on Thursday, Febraury 27th at 7 pm at William Woods in Fulton, Mo. in the AMC Quarterfinals.
